Leaving Porto de Abrigo da Praia da Graciosa in the direction of São Jorge Island, passing off the Ilhéu da Praia and then the Ilhéus do Carapacho.
As we approach the coast of São Jorge, we can admire the grandeur of the green coast with its Fajãs. Ahead of us, the tip of Rosais with its lighthouse and islet, and just beyond the island of Faial.
Contouring the Rosais, we follow along the southern coast of São Jorge with Pico mountain on our right side and pass by the bay of Srª do Rosário, Arraias bay, Fajã do Lemos, Entre-Morros bay, Morro Grande and soon after the bay and Marina of Velas, protected by huge 200m cliffs. Next we visit the charming village of Velas.
During the trip you will certainly spot plenty of marine fauna.
